Top 5 Time-Saving Tips for Social Media Beginners

August 7, 2024

Feeling like you don’t have time to create content? You’re not the only one!

Don’t worry friend, I have some game-changing tips for you that have made a huge difference for me and the clients I work with!

TIME-SAVING HABITS I SWEAR BY

One of the most common struggles I hear from my clients is not having time to make content.

Part of this is figuring out the best way to optimize your time, especially when it comes to content creation, which can be veryy time-consuming.

Here’s what to do about it:

List it out

Make a content idea bank and continue to add to it (I use the notes app on my phone, but use whatever works for you!).

Stock up on b-roll

Take pics and little videos throughout your day. Save them to a folder and keep them handy for b-roll content later.

Plan ahead

Follow a monthly content calendar to plan your posts ahead of time (get started with The Impact Content Calendar for plenty of post inspo.)

All of the templates

Canva is a super easy tool and a great place to start for creating templates to create carousel content much faster.

Make time in your schedule

Set aside specific blocks of time dedicated to content creation. This means no distractions and no going over your time limit!

Time is the one thing we can’t make more of. That’s why it’s so important to be strategic about the time you do have!

THE ART OF REPURPOSING

Here’s the thing: content creation doesn’t have to be hard.

Let me introduce you to one of the best ways to work SMARTER, not HARDER.

Repurposing

No, this isn’t the same as reposting (which can be done for posts that did really well, but not all of the time!).

Repurposing lets you take your older/successful content, make small tweaks, and turn it into a new post.

Your inspo starts here:

→ Turn your carousels into reels

→ Turn your captions into reels

→ Turn your reels into posts

→ Turn your posts into emails

→ Turn your reels into TikToks or pins

→ Turn your stories into reels or TikToks
