Time-Saving Habits to Plan & Create Social Media Content

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the countless demands on our time.

Between work life, social life, and family life, we’ve still got to find time to ENJOY life — to try new things, to eat great food, to be with our loved ones. You get it.

But, the thing is, there’s really only one thing we can’t make more of in this life, and that thing is TIME. 

Living life fully and doing all the wonderful things we want to do means we have to be able to optimize our time, which is something I’ve been really prioritizing lately.

So, today, I want to share some things with you that have helped me create tons of time and freedom in my life to run a business I love, cultivate deep relationships, drink plenty of lattes (because why not?), take amazing trips (we’ll be traveling for 6+ months this year!) and more.

Leaning into what matters most to YOU is most important, of course. But in the meantime, saving time in your social media planning, creating, and posting is a must!

Here are some awesome systems I use, and wow – they have made such a huge difference for me, that I just have to share.

Next up is Later – a super useful tool for managing all your different social channels at the same time, because let’s be honest…there are just too many to keep track of! Don’t waste time juggling way too many different tasks. Check out Later to keep all your channels in one, organized place!


Lastly, let’s talk about organization, because constantly searching for content, graphics, or captions is not my idea of a fun time. Instead, I like to use a handy tool called Airtable, which keeps all of my clients’ social media content in the same place. If you love chaos, by all means, do NOT use this. ✔️ Keep an ideas list running (I’m a notes app gal, but find what works for you!)

✔️ Set aside chunks of time for content creation – no distractions and no going over your time limit!

✔️ Templates, templates, and more templates – why reinvent the wheel every time? Create templates to get your content posted faster!

✔️ Embrace behind-the-scenes footage – it’s simple, it’s fun, and your audience LOVES it… trust me.

Now listen. There are plenty of things you can do to make your life easier when it comes to social media (like everything we just listed above ), and I’m ALL about that life.

But don’t forget that there’s also no “quick fix” for growing your audience, expanding your reach, and building a strong brand that your followers love and trust!

Organic social media growth takes time, patience, consistency, and yes – effort.
