Ways To Increase Social Media Followers (that actually work)

October 23, 2024

Forget those social media hacks to get 10k followers overnight.

Spoiler alert: it’s a scam.

For real though, you don’t want a bunch of fake accounts or nonsense clogging up your feed.

Instead, focus on ONE goal to take that first step to increasing your followers organically:

Increased visibility.

So, how exactly do I do this? I gotchu.

Start here:

01/ Turn up posting frequency – more eyes = more chances to get seen/followed. So first, up that posting frequency for both your feed and stories. This will become a lead gen system for you.

02/ Expand your reach – find alternative ways to boost your brand’s exposure, like IRL networking/events and omnichannel marketing across different platforms.

02/ Find collab opportunities – there’s no better way to get access to a new audience than by collaborating! Be a guest on podcasts, write or be featured on blogs/articles, do a reel collab with an adjacent industry, or do an IG Live with another creator.

If you need help fine-tuning your social strategy, let’s hash out the details!

Now, once you start getting those new followers…you want them to stick around, engage, and, of course, chomp at the bit to buy from you.

Staying on top of your socials and keeping things consistent is a must!

Ahh, consistency.

We know it, we love it, we ALL struggle with it sometimes.

Stay consistent with:

  • your brand presence
  • recognition
  • posting cadence
  • personality

Maintaining lasting loyalty on social media starts with consistency as you build the Know Like Trust factor.

So they know who you are, like you enough to keep following, and trust you so they eventually make a purchase.

Remember, social media is meant to be FUN, so find ways to incorporate that into your content too!

Not sure what to post or when? The Impact Content Calendar will give you weekly post/story prompts that you can customize to your account to reach your people and make more $$$.

WHAT WOULD CAROLINE DO?

Last week’s Q&A (I try to host these every Friday to answer all your questions!) tackled a common concern: What should you do when you have fake followers?

Here’s my advice: If they aren’t bought, keep them. But if they are bought, and your engagement has plateaued, you might want to consider starting a new account.

Another common question: “Why don’t I have access to all the trending sounds?”

Answer: You need to change your label to “Entrepreneur” or “Personal Blog.”
